The Museum of Latin American Art is proud to present Collecting and Evaluating Latin American Art. This publication is the product of an international symposium of the same name which took place at MOLAA on September 21st, 2002. It is MOLAA’s third international symposium.
On this occasion, the following panelists gathered for a robust discussion. Speakers included: collectors Robert Gumbiner, Robert Marcus and Hector Ziperovich, art critic Bélgica Rodriguez, art dealers José Tasende, Mary-Anne Martin, Darrell Couturier, Bill Sheehy, Teresa and Ana Iturralde, Luis Remba and Graciela Cervantes, as well as Kirsten Hammer, Director of Latin American Art for Sotheby’s New York. These experts gave our public a better understanding of the value of Latin American art and shared ideas on how to begin and develop a collection.
